MEET YOUR PROVIDER

Meet Dr. John Dorsch

John R. Dorsch, DO
Retired U.S. Air Force Colonel
Provider, D2 Human Performance

Colonel John R. Dorsch, DO (Ret), is a board-certified emergency physician who specializes in cognitive resilience, recovery and brain health. Over a 20-year career in the United States Air Force he served as senior medical officer for Special Tactics and Pararescue, finishing as Wing Surgeon for the 24th Special Operations Wing, where he directed medical support and human performance programs for elite Special Operations forces.

He played a leading role in building the Special Operations Human Performance Optimization program, a multidisciplinary model focused on cognitive performance, recovery and long-term resilience. His work centered on neurologic health, stress physiology, sleep and recovery science, and on sustaining performance under chronic stress and repeated neurologic strain.

Dr. Dorsch specializes in the evaluation and treatment of traumatic brain injury, post-concussive symptoms and cognitive performance concerns. He also serves as Medical Director of the Brain Treatment Center of Fayetteville, and he remains active in clinical medicine and medical education as an emergency physician and EMS leader.

His Approach to Care

Dr. Dorsch approaches each patient through a performance-based lens, recognizing that fatigue, brain fog, mood changes and reduced focus are often connected to underlying neurologic function rather than separate, isolated problems.

“We don’t just treat symptoms. We optimize brain function, resilience and performance.”
Dr. John Dorsch

THE PROCESS

How D2 Works

1. Start With a Conversation

We discuss your goals, symptoms and health history.

2. Understand Your Starting Point

Appropriate assessments help establish a baseline.

3. Build Your Plan

Your provider explains the findings and recommends an appropriate next step.

4. Measure Your Progress

Follow-up assessments help track changes and guide care.

Who We Are

Performance care, powered by data.

D2 Human Performance exists for people who want to understand their brain health and function at their best. We combine assessments, personalized brain care and measured follow-up so you and your provider can see how things are changing.

We do one thing: TMS, non-invasive brain stimulation delivered with FDA-cleared technology.

Every plan follows proven, standardized protocols, and your progress is tracked with real data at every step.

Our clinical team treats you like a person with goals, not a diagnosis on a chart.

D2 is built for people who don’t do waiting rooms: private, direct, and judgment-free.

Our Mission

To help every person who walks through our doors better understand how they feel, function and perform, with care we can measure.

Heal. Perform. Thrive.

These three words guide everything we do. From your first consultation to your final progress review, our mission is to help you reach your fullest potential through data-driven care, innovative therapy, and support that treats you like a person — not a chart.

Our Vision

A world where taking care of your brain is as normal as going to the gym — starting with the communities that serve everyone else.

WHAT TMS CAN HELP WITH

Conditions TMS Supports

TMS is best known for major depressive disorder, its FDA-cleared indication, and is also used for PTSD. The same brain circuits it stimulates play a role in much more. An individual evaluation determines which uses apply to your care.

Wondering about something that isn’t listed? Ask us. If TMS isn’t the right tool for it, we’ll tell you straight.
